Liquid Ballast in tires

I am going to put some liquid in the tires of my MH 50 and was wondering if RV antifreeze would work to keep water from freezing? Anyone ever tried this? Will it harm the inner tube? RV fluid is only about $2.00 per gallon and this could save a few dollars. Thanks in advance, doorman

If you are planning on not using CaCl I would suggest using winter mix washer fluid. It is even cheaper at aroun a buck a gallon and works the same as antifreeze.

I 2nd the wiper fluid, its cheaper and is about the same weight. I have it in one of my tractor tires and CACL in the other and I can't tell which one is which and I don't remember either since I put it in about 5 years ago

I have a flat tire and want to change out the CalCl for something less corrosive. I figure on letting the stuff drain out on the gravel drive way but short of having a tire shop come out to the farm, what kind of pump would put the new stuff in? Leonard

Thanks for the reply and the good idea about washer fluid. Do I need to use it full strength or can I mix it? I live in Southwest Tenn. Thanks doorman
