Lithium 9 volt

I just ordered 4 9v rechargeable lithium batteries and charger from amazon.
I have some old 9 v Ni-MHD, but they self discharge.

Had anyone tried using 9v rechargeable Li in smoke detectors and voltmeters?

Yes, but for some reason some lithium can't be recharged, some can. I need many 9v that are rechargeable

The standard voltage of All brands' 9V lithium-ion rechargeable batteries is 8.2V-8.4V

We gave up on using rechargeable 9v batteries in wireless mics because they get unreliable below 8 volts.

Geo,

Amazon has them,

Guido,
Amazon is where I bought 4 plus a charger.
Hope they work better in voltmeter and smoke alarms.
Delivery date nov 30th.

Geo,
Those are NOT rechargeable.
The rechargeable ones ore not 9 volts.

They are probably 8.4 volts. Many dry cell devices will set a low battery voltage at that level. They may even be bad for voltmeters, as the low voltage will make the readings erratic at best,

If lithium batteries last like the ones in tools I would run not walk away from them. I'm looking at more corded tools or air all the time. Always a dead battery when you need it most and always half way through a hole, or job so I have to go get the corded one out to finish the job. I have a Milwaukee drill and impact was first using it and would drill holes for bolts on the spike harrow on the back of the field cultivator. Drilled most of the middle section and half of both wings up as high as was comfortable to reach standing on the ground in the winter shed. By the next year it would only do about half that with both batteries. I guess I will not be buying for myself anymore battery tools. Yup I don't like fooling with the cord or hose either, just can keep drilling with the cord.

Guido,
I'll post back. Should be getting them at the end of this month.

9v. 8.4v. Good thing about Amazon, if they don't work, no hassle, FREE return shipping. If the order is small, sometimes Amazon will tell you to keep it. Other times they send you a return label or a code to take it to UPS or USPS>

Geo,

Yep easy returns. Those 9 volts non rechargeable, as you see, is what they used for oke alarms. I probably still have a 9 volt looking Nicad around here,

Guido
