On my JD301A, I changed out the Load Control teflon washer and o-ring where the draft links connect on the pin at the 3-point hitch....definately not what I was expecting. Does the o-ring and teflon washer go into the bushing? The o-ring went into the slot easily, but the teflon washer had to be bent and worked to get into the slot with the o-ring over top of it. I carefully slid the pin back through the white teflon washer. Is this a common John Deere seal? Seems like the only thing keeping pressure from the washer to the pin is the rubber o-ring.
Does it matter where I place washers on the pin to take out the slop at the draft link? Should the washers go on first up against the transmission case or should they go on after the draft link is placed on the pin?
