loader exchange

depending on the brand of loader you will need a spacer due to the shorter hood and the cab forward design of the 1086.

Super B Thank you for not being a smart a$$ like the rest. It is a ih loader i think 225? About 100 miles away add says of a 766 for the tape measure guys,if u have one that long it must be one hell of a tool. This is why I seldom post ???????s

Sounds like a few of the folks with a great deal of knowledge gave you their best suggestions, given the info originally provided.
You might do well to take that tape measure experience with you on your journey and share back your findings here to help others

the 2250 loader was a good match for a 656 or 784. I have had both, and have still had cracks occur in the loader frame. 1086 would stress a 2250 too much IMO. 1086 would match better with a 2350 or 2450 (the high lift model).

8-9-10-1486 and 7-9-10-1466 have the same width frame, so I expect they would interchange. large 06 and large 56 are narrower, just need some shims. Distance from clutch housing to front (for loader mounts) is same for all IIRC.

FWIW, I have a 2350 loader off a 1256 I would sell, but I guess you are in Minnesota, so...

(quoted from post at 15:31:26 02/19/23) will a loader off a 766 fit a 1086 without alot of rework?

Yes. Should be no rework necessary. The tractors are externally exactly the same from the bell housing forward. They're pretty darned close from the bell housing back. Anything that bolts on to the 766 should bolt on to the 1086.

Two small details would have changed the entire tone of the thread. First, the brand and model of the loader. If you didn't know then wait to post until you have that information. Second, the fact that you don't have the loader in front of you to measure.

People make vague posts like this all the time, expecting the people reading it to be familiar with their situation and/or to read their mind. They get equally vague answers, so they get upset????

I just don't understand the need to be vague. We're not talking state secrets here.
