Loader mounting on a 1550

I bought a Miller quick attach loader for my 1550. It was on a John Deere so I need to alter brackets to fit. Which holes on the front of the tractor should I use, top or bottom? I have to drill new holes in the bracket to fasten it to.

What's the closest to what the brackets are now? When I bought my Dunham off a 3010 Deere, the top two center holes were the closest, so that's what I used. I had to take the torch and cut the slots just a little wider. I don't think I'd want to go with any of the bottom holes. It seems like that would give it more leverage and they'd break easier.

The holes in the front bracket are no where near the holes in the tractor. I'll have to drill 2 new holes. Could you take a picture of the mounting brackets on the tractor, kind of give me an idea of how it should end up. Axle mount plates holes are too narrow to fit bolt holes and have been torched larger, looking like I might be better off to weld them shut and start over.

Mine is a different loader, but use the 2 upper outer holes. Pitch black out, I wasn't getting on the ground with flashlight to see the lower holes used.

My end loader needs all the support it can get. Something over 2000 pounds. It's just too heavy. Got some more brush dozing and then selling it. it's on a 1650....

Huge steel plates on each side. About a 3" steel under the tractor.

I put a JD 148 on my 1550. The 4020 in came off is just a bit shorter than the Ollie. I had to flip the front bracket. Drilled two new holes and added 2 inch spacers so the bolts for the side brackets could go in. The side brackets lined up good at the rear and I made some spacers for tub width and reach at the front end.

I don't have a smart phone Chris. Last time I asked the wife where the camera was, she didn't even know. It's just flat against the front of the tractor with two bolts in it. It wouldn't hurt a thing if it had four. I've broken one once or twice.
