loader question

I am looking at a loader that came off of a JD 620 and am looking to put it on a JD 3020lp. Does anyone know if the two tractors are comparable in size? Never been around a 620 and don't know of one close to look at. I am going to have some measurements taken on the loader and compare them to a jd 148 loader that a buddy of mine has. Maybe that will help me figure out if I can modify the brackets to fit. Any thoughts or ideas would greatly help. Ad for loader says it is quick attach and mfg. unknown.

loader could possibly fit the 3020 with maybe some alterations. If loader has an ind hyd valve it will be open-center which won't be compatible for a 3020 unless it's the type valve that can be converted to closed-center.

Thanks for the help. I am getting some measurements on it now. The valve I could change if need be if the price is right and I can make it fit.

Are the rams high pressure or low pressure? I can't check the
parts book from here to know for certain.
The mounting brackets are the problem. For some reason the
brackets are left on the tractor and the loader is sold without.

I just got the loader home and got a good look at the valve. It is a Gresen valve with the casting number 2712 on it. There is a large plug on the rh side of the valve and after removing that plug it appears that a closed center conversion plug would work. Does anyone know where parts could be found for this valve. It appears to me that the conversion plug for the cross mfg valve would be close to the right configuration.

JD still offers this plug(parts key # 12 or B) but for the price I'd buy a straight closed-center valve.

I went ahead and put a new closed center valve on it. The old valve had a sticky spool and needed to be converted, but the brackets all bolted on like it was made for it. Cylinders seem to seep a little but not bad enough to worry about at this time.
