Long 610 crankcase balancer timing


Good day, we are putting together a 610 Long engine with crankcase balancer. The manual claims there are timing marks to line up but there are none. Can anyone give a bit of guidance as to how to time this?? There has to be a procedure or the balancer would be off. Thanks for anyone's assistance, JC
The general rule of thumb I've always followed is this. If I'm installing the balancer with engine in frame I set number 1 and 4 pistons to TDC. Place the balancer on a floor jack, let the counterweights settle to the bottom. Roll it under, jack it straight up and bolt it on.
