The dealer who I've bought my Long parts from has gone to New Holland and Farmtrac now owns Long. I need parts for my 610 and need a source in Florida or the SE; any suggestions? Will this tractor be a parts problem in a few years?
 

Your former dealer ought to be able to tell you where
another dealer is. Hope there won't be a parts problem since I own one. That tractor was produced for a long time. 1355 Oliver is mostly the same tractor, just made by Fiat in Italy. White 2-60 is the same. Agco should have parts. However, if you can't find a dealer in FL post back and I will give you the number of a dealer in SC.

Go to http://www.farmtrac.com/. Click on "Find a dealer". Type your zip code in and then,Search Within a ??? Mile Radius. Put in 100 miles and click search. I randomly searched several Florida zip codes and those had dealers within 30 miles. If that doesn't do any good, click on "contact" and shoot Farmtrac an e-mail.
 
Go to Farmtrac.com and search for a dealer near you. Farmtrac dealers still carry Long parts, at least the nearest dealer to me does. Also search for Fiat-Built tractor parts. Good places to start.
 
You need to find a dealer, but I wouldn't worry too much about how near or far away it is- You're probably going to have to have the stuff shipped to you anyhow, so what's important is thier "customer service" attitude. I get all my Allis parts from an AGCO dealer who is 1000 miles away, but used to be Allis- they still care about the marque, and are anxious to help. Another dealer for some old "short lines" gets stuff to me instantly- I complimented them on it, and they said, "just be sure you call by quarter to 3, because UPS picks up at 3, but if you give us 15 minutes, we'll have it ready to go for him." Went on to say that the shortage of dealers has been a blessing to them, because by concentrating on quick service and shipping, they have picked up customers from all over the country that they wouldn't have had in the "old days".
