Long agribusiness 5300

[Cajun]

I bought this tractor used a cpl years ago, has never given any major trouble what so ever. After sitting up foe several months, My 3 point hitch is not working. Hoping it's something simple, like low hyd fluid. Would anybody have a pdf manual, or know where I might find one??

Is there a dipstick to the left rear of the transmission shifter.and cover? That should tell you your hydraulic oil level.

Not that familiar with Long tractors, from what I am finding 5300 is the model of the front end loader mounted on your tractor. I think those tractors are fashioned after Fords, I believe there is a flat spot behind the starter where the model numbers are stamped or look around for some other type of ID plate. In the picture with the info you are showing us see where it says “This ROPS… that means “Roll Over Protection Structure” that is the “arch” above the operator’s seat. Your tractor model is one of those listed (not one of those in the parentheses). It has that label because it has to be designed to meet a government standard so it will protect the operator against being crushed by the weight of the tractor in case of a roll over. Here is a link to the Long tractor models and their information on Tractordata. This may help you determine what model your tractor is, you can narrow it down a bit if you know the approximate HP of your tractor. Hopefully someone else may be able to help you, pictures of the machine would be helpful as well.

You’re going to want to look around for the actual tractor serial number plate. You will eventually need this information so someone can identify your tractor

All that information on the roll bar is required by law and merely states which tractor it fits and whether it can withstand the weight of the tractor.

More information please about "not working". Are the arms down and won't raise? Are the arms up and won't lower? Something else?
Some tractors have 3 point locking mechanisms that hold them up.

Your tractor model is one of the ones listed on that tag, NOT "5300." As @used red MN stated above, that is the model of the loader NOT the tractor.

Next thing to do is get out your camera, step WAY back, until you can see the ENTIRE tractor in the viewscreen. Take a picture. Post it here. Please don't be like so many others and take a bunch of unidentifiable close-up pictures of parts of the tractor. Those are not helpful.
