First of all I am a old guy remembering the "Good Old Days". I was from New Hampshire Our first tractor was a 1932 Model B Ford Truck "cut down" but couldn't do the job. Dad went to our Weekly Bulletin and found a 1938 John Deere Model B with most all nessary implements. This started my love of the "Poppin Johnnies". We had many J D's including my greatest love the mighty G all ours had the tricycle front end. In later life I had a JD 750 with loader and Backhoe. I am now limited to my Die cast models of all the ones we once owned except my 750. I know the new tractors are great but they have a long way to go to catch up to our old two bangers. Bet the new ones can't disconnect 1/2 of theircylinders and work. Our Model A, B, G could

Well Len I have left New Hampshire and now live in Florida. A couple of years ago I went to the Antique Tractor and Engine Show. There was 129 acres of tractors engines and parts. We hired a golf cart and still didn't see it all

Well I hafta agree, for the small farm of today
there's still a place for the 2 bangers.
I born & raised on a 48 A & 41 B, they are still
on the farm, still look good, just don't get
used like they once did. We still believe in
them & our New Tractors consist of model 2-60's
, 530, 620, 630 & 2 - 730 diesels.. I know how
to repair these things & keep them going..
As for the 4wd we have, I just scratch my head
when something doesnt' work & end up spending
thousands of dollars to keep it going.

That sounds like Florida Flywheelers at Avon Park,Fl.That is a very nice show. I am restoring a 1940 B now, I to was on a farm in Illinois with a 36 A jd and 50 8n Ford. I now live in Fl. and retired, North of Old Town,Fl. near the
Suwannee River. Later Clayton
