my torque limiter is mounted on the tranfer case. what is proper way to use the disconnet bolt head on the back of it. thanks

Im not Tony Jacobs, but the nut on the back of your torque limiter that is on the back of your transfer case is used as follows:
To engage turn the nut to the left one revolution. To disengage turn the nut to the right one revolution.
