Looking for machine shop

I am trying to locate a machine shop in Eastern Ohio or Southern PA that can machine a John Deere D block. I need one bored and sleeved. Have tried all local shops here and none can do the job because the cylinders are too long.

You can check with center automotive in Akron Ohio. I had a lot of work done there in the past. They can do a model A block and leave the studs in. There machine is large enough for that. Make sure you remind them a JD has the pistons come all the way out the back so the sleeve NEEDS to go clear to the bottom with no ledge at the back. Put the ledge at the front if need be. Randy forgot this once on a 520 block but made it right on there dime.

Try Larry Solak at Solak's Automotive Specialities
9971 Diagonal Road
Mantua, Oh 44255
330 274-2811 or 330 285-4100
He has a large horizontal boring mill I'm sure can handle a D block.

Or post to ButchOH
