Looking for NewGenCollector

Being inspired by NewGenCollector I have decided to put a soundgard cab on my 5020. Since I can't find an email address I thought I would post here in hopes he replies. I realize that I will have to move the hydraulic valves from in front of the dash as they are the old type, unlike the 6030. I think most of the rest is the same and I was wondering if the expert himself or anyone else that has done one of these can give me hints on the clutch linkage. The build log mentions an hydraulic clutch assembly so I was looking for hints. The build log also talks about cutting the mounts and widening them out. Any help on this would also be appreciated...

thank you

Well that's me. I don't know anything though. Turn back while you can lol. You have to be really committed to see one of these thru. Does it have 3pt?

yes it has 3 point and yes I should be committed (probably an institution)
but I have already started tearing things down and am committed to getting it done....
but I figured if I could persuade you to give up your secrets, I would be much better off....
particularly how you conquered the clutch linkage..

I don't want to litter the forum with my questions unless you think that would be appropriate....

The clutch was easy. I did initially put a hydraulic helper on it from a 7520 but I didn't like how it modulated and it was super complex. So I pulled that off and ran a rod down from the pedal where it bends. It's much simpler now but the pedal force takes some getting used to. I also added a spacer to the clutch helper spring to give it even more 'help' because without that spring, you can't even push the clutch in. You'll need a press to put that back together. Whatever you do, don't ask me about the shifter linkage. You're on your own there but it's manageable. That's really the only area that I would do differently the next time around.

As for being a 5020, I think it would be tough dealing with the valves. I'd almost look for a 6030 rockshaft plate to mount on the tractor so you would have the better scvs, which are already plumbed to the rockshaft valve versus the separate dash valves. I just don't know where you would put them, whereas the 6030 valves are already integrated.

I think I understand what you are saying about the clutch linkage...but if you ever have time to shoot me a picture of the assembly I would be eternally
grateful. I have everything stripped down and and hoping to tackle the widening of the mounting brackets next....

Okay so I snapped some pics. Here's what I did. Was hard to show all the details with so much stuff in the way. There's a bit of fabrication there too.
