lOOKING FOR SPECIAL FLAT WASHERS

40/50yrs ago I found washers that opened up at one end and were hinged cross from the opening. Closed, they looked like a O Opened 1/2 way, they looked like a C. opened all the way up, they looked like a W. I cant find them here. Anybody know who sells them?? Thanks

Some farm stores sell them - or at least they used to. I think that they were used as shims and were able to be installed without disassembling parts from a shaft. I have a few in a drawer in the shop - still in the plastic bag that they came in. They've been here so long that I can't remember what I bought them for.
