Looking for spool spring source

Hi all, I have a Dearborn 19-61 industrial loader on my Ford 600. The spring on the double acting spool on the 19-23 control valve broke this winter while I was plowing and I'm looking for a replacement spring. Does anyone have a good source for these? I'm not coming up with much via Google.

Thanks! -Sydney

Dennis Carpenter may be one source. Is it a compression spring ,extension ,what ?

Other sources are if your handy with micrometer . Measure, wire diameter, outside diameter ,inside diameter ,free length ,with ground ends ,check McMaster Carr ,Lee spring ,associated spring ,or ( Spring Team in Austinburg ,Ohio. I get most of mine special springs from sometimes from there quality control department. They cant sell there tested springs under Iso 9000 .

That's a good thought, I'll check Dennis Carpenter. It's a compression spring. Seems to be about an 1-1/4 long and 7/8 OD.

Wire is not round , rectangular, I consider it a Die Spring used in stripper plates of progressive dies as examples.
Dieco, jergins, come color coded for pressure set ups .i dont reminder the mfr. . names , McMaster Carr again.
What is wrong with your spring , weak ?

The one in the picture is from the single acting spool and is fine. The one I'm replacing shattered over the winter. Came out like a stack of lock washers.

Messicks parts doesn't show your 19-61 loader, but they do show 19-23 as a heavy duty loader with control valve. The related spool spring is part no. 192205. Their parts locator shows six available in an obsolete warehouse, if this is the valve you have. The relief valve spring is no longer available. Give Messicks a call and ask their parts counter for help. Many of these valves were manufactured by someone other than Ford. If it's available, they can find it.

If it's just the spring on the valve spool for actuation it isn't critical. Match the diameters, length and wire diameter as close as you can. If it's a relief valve then it would matter.
