I have been looking for a draw knife for about 3 years. Just keeping my eye out for one. Two weeks ago I found one on FB marketplace for 260.00 and it is beat to death ( hammer and kid) then I found an ad for a box full of knives for 20.00 bucks. Someone called before me. So I’m back to looking again 🙄

Yard/rummage sale or an auction would be where I'd be looking. But if you needed one asap and wanted to buy new, I'd go to Lee Valley:

If you want this one, I'll go pick it up and mail it to you. $25 on Facebook market place. There's another one for $35 of better steel but more used. It's within 15 minutes of home. There are a couple of others in other parts of the country for under $70, shipped for less than $15. I'd have trouble parting with either of mine. One is a folding handle packer's drawknife. steve

Facebook market place: do a search for wood carving tools in La Crosse WI. Nice one there for $30

504, that $260 draw knife must be gold plated. Around here a draw knife at auctions or flea markets are usually priced under $35. I have a couple on eBay right now for less than $25.

I don't want a new one, just because. My old standby farm sales are just gone. Everything is online only and I like to touch things, make sure it's what I want. Yard sales want me to buy more stuff that I don't need . And posts are what I plan to use it on as much as anything. I have a lean to planed this spring and I will use locust trees, they will last a long time but they must be debarked or they last about 2 years around here.

I like that one! I would take you up on your offer but I hate to ask anyone to all of the trouble,I see by the trucks going south today that IA and MN must of had ice and snow Friday and maybe Saturday morning.

I have several good draw knives, inherited and none for sale. My wife's grandfather made all of his wooden tool handles, single trees, double trees and gambrel sticks. I'm still replacing worn handles with the ones that he made. He died in 1965. My wife, his only grandchild, inherited all of his tools.

He offered his service you did not ask him to go out of his way.
