some sorry low life stole my cousins JD1630 last night. I dont have the ser # but it has a jd front loader( dont know the model) for it either.

I'll try and get them from him. Anyway, taken from se oklahoma.

i worked for a man who had his stolen several years ago. instead of cutting the fences to get it out they just drove it through every barb wire fence they came to. putting a switch in the battery cable to break the connection is a cheap piece of insurance. not only does it keep any one from using it, it will also lessen the chance that it will catch on fire from a wiring short. sorry about the tractor. i use to be able to buy them a wal mart, but i think you can get them at rv dealers also.

Was it insured?
Watch e-bay for it.
Make up a flier/poster and offer a reward of at least $500.00. If he is insured with someone like Farm Bureau they will pay $1000 reward for information leading to the arrest even if the tractor was NOT insured. Just so long as it was taken from his land. He just has to be a member.

Fax those fliers to every dealer you know in that area. Post them in stores (little country general stores and stuff). Put them in peoples paper boxes (not mail boxes). Maybe someone saw something.

Good luck getting it back and good luck catching the low life.

I'd keep a check on the sales like the one in Idabel and others that handle alot of tractors. You might be able to call some of these sales and give them the serial number of the stolen tractor.

A dead battery will stop a theif every time. That's why i barely put batteries in tractors anymore. lol.

i did'nt have time to call my cousin today to get any numbers on the stolen tractor.
I think his uncle was going to tell him to call the Idabel sale. I think it is this thursday.

I dont know what kind or who he has insurance with. It was sitting at his hog barn(cargil). theifs cut the lock while my cousin was at the county premium sale for show animals.

someone had set a small fire at his driveway, he does'nt live at his hog barn acreage.I'm sure the fire was for a distraction to keep him from interupting the theft.

Contact all the consignment auction outfits like said, salvage yards and get it on the wire as stolen could done be in and out of a auction or headed to Mexico or Canada.
