low tension wire

On my 641, my low tension wire that goes from the coil to the distributor is in really bad shape. The dealer no longer carries this wire...what should I do...I know nothing about electrical wiring.

Go to the auto parts store and get some 12 or 14 gauge wire (you need about 7 or 8 inches) and 2 eye wire ends to fit #10 bolts.
Install the two wires ends on the piece of wire by crimping them with a pair of plyers.

Remove the nut and wire from the coil and install one end of your new wire. Open up the distributor by taking off the cap so you can gain access to the bolt sticking threw the side of the distribtor. Hold the head of the bolt and remove the nut and wire. Install the other end of your new wire by replacing the nut.
