Just got a LowBoy from a friend.. He didn't know much about it and neither do I. Was wondering if anyone out there could tell me about what HP it could be? I was told that it was made in "57" the number on it is 5252J. It's a pretty good little tractor, but would like to know about the HP though.. Thanks a bunch.

It is a 57, and they run around 9 HP. The J means it has the newer style Rockford clutch in it.

Thanks, never would have guess it was only 9HP. It's got a lot of get-up and go for that.

I don't know about the low boy but the cub was a little short on power. Was good garden tractor , mowing with sycle bar & cultivating .
