lp 70 generator wire hook up

My 70 lp has a 3 terminal regulator. Where does the white wire go and which terminal does the black wire go to? Where should the other ends of the white, and the black go to also?

The diagram isnt perfectly clear, but for a 3 terminal (BAT FLD GEN) Voltage Regulator:

BAT (an always hot wire down from the ammeter)

FLD wires to gennys FLD post

GEN/ARM wires to gennys ARM post

So get a test light or volt meter and see which wire is always hot, and that wires to BAT on the VR

BAT is the always hot wire down from ammeter
FLD wires to FLD post
LOAD (L) feeds hot battery voltage up to switch
