I am working on a LT133 mower with a Kohler 13s engine. It has a 3amp stator. The diode going to the stator is missing. Does any one know the value/size of this diode.

Is this what you are looking for, Key #11?
 
What is shown is the lt133 wiring harness. I have that harness with that diode[v1]. The stator has its own harness and diode[v2]. V2 is the one that is missing.

Are there any numbers on the old diode, or is it burnt?

Looks like Kohler has a diode replacement kit, Kohler Part # 2575531S which can be found on-line for around $20.

Personally, I'd grab a 10A05 diode/rectifier off of the 'net and give it a try.
 
The kohler engine is cv13s-21525 with the stator diode missing. This engine has both four and two legged varmints messing with the wiring. I may just use a generic diode to make it work.
