LUC Engine

Yesterday I was visiting a Friend. He has an LUC Power Unit he said he would sell. It seems to be complete, but has been setting outside for some time. What is an approximate value for one?
Are the engines exactly the same as an L or LA?
Is their anything I should look for before buying? I have wanted an L or LA for some time, but their price has prevented me from buying one. I feel this may be as close as I can get to owning one. Thanks in advance. Johnny

The LUC engines is exactly the same internally as the LA enigne, not the L. The L had a smaller engine. There have been some nice original running LUC's listed for sale on here in the $500 +/- range over the past few months. Not running, sitting outside, I would be thinking well under $500 if that is the case. Nothing in perticular I would look for besides what you would check if buying any tractor/old piece of equipment. Should have a Wico C or X mag on it. Should be some sort of a Marvel Schebler TSX carb on it.
