M decals

I am doing a 51 M and am having custom decals made . what is the correct decal on side of the hood all have beside Farmall?

I believe the correct decal set for a '51 is the last redesign IH made. That particular decal set is what you would get from a Case-IH dealer or any of the on-line sources.

Call Maple Hunter decals 812-894-9759. They have the correct ones in mylar and vinal. The decals sold at the case ih dealerships are poor quality and are not even close to the originals.

A '51 gets the decal with the IH emblem, red I, black H in a field of white.

Well we are making a FFA tribute tractor it will have yellow decals seat cushion and cast centers the tractor is painted deep impact blue.I did not know if it had the Mc Cormick Deering on them

curious why you're having custom decals made.

I'll add another vote or Maple Hunter - they were the only one that had the proper mcormick deering decal for my 48 Super A.

Argued with a lot of other suppliers about what the right decal was, but I had the original hood in hand, I knew what I needed. But I seared a lot, and I was ready to just give up and just use the wrong one.

But I finally tried Maple Hunter , they didn't even blink, knew exactly what I was talking about regarding the "different" farmall decal and had them in stock ready to go. I actually had to argue with THEM because I didn't believe they really had the one I was talking about.

That was a nice surprise, and I'll always buy my decals from them since they were the only one I found that paid any attention to that kind of detail.

IH McCormick Farmall. The last of these were started in mid 1949. Maple Hunter will have better decals than you can have made. Previous were McCormick Deering Farmall, then IH McCormick Deering Farmall.

And when you get the decals be sure to locate them properly when applying them, find out for sure where they go for your year tractor and put them on right. The "Circled M" goes 1/2 an inch away from the curved rib on the hood placed concentric with the curve......
