M Disc hookup

What am I missing?? Anybody know where I can go to look at pictures of complete hook up?? The M is probably a year from being done and I'm wanting to pull this disc with my 8N. Thanks in advance for any help!! EdinOregon

Thats just a pull disk. Hook it up to your 8N drawbar and pull it around.

EB, it looks like you probably have what you need there. If I remember right you will hook the disk up normally but you will then remove the linkage from the rockshaft to the arms. Install the cross bar on your lift arms and then you can hydraulically adjust the gangs. The pulley goes on the front of the disk hitch to allow the chain to pull straight on the adjusting linkage on the disk. Hope this helps. Mike

To hook to your 8N drawbar, you will need a clevis in the loop of hitch on your disk.

At least you gave me credit for a little sense! Thanks for the reply. I know the crossbar chain goes thru the sheave to move the gangs but I think there is still something missing. That's why I was hoping for a JD picture of some sort. Thanks again EdinOR

It looks to me as though you have most everything there, EB. Hook the pulley to the hitch of the disk, run the chain through it to the crossbar on your lift arms with the draft links unhooked from them. I don't think there is a lot more to it than that. Mike

The adjuster on the tongue of the disk is missing. It will only pull straight that way. Hook the tongue to your drawbar with a clevis, then back it up until you get the angle you want,then drop a pin in one of the rectangle holes. it will then pull at the angle you want.

I know that T but I should be able to change the gangs by raising or lowering the 3 pt on the go. I did it 15 years ago when I borrowered the disc and tractor but don't know what is missing now that I bought it all 15 years later!!
