We have a 605 power unit for one of our irrigation wells. All season it has ran strong. But today it started missing then running fine missing then running fine and so on. I put new plugs new cap and rotor new wires and still runs like crap. It runs on Natural gas and I tried adjusting the regulator still nothing. Please help.

One thing to check, pull the rocker covers and check valve clearance.

What type of carb do you have??

I've seen those Impco's get a tear in the
diagphram and cause trouble...

Does it run good idling??

Distributor on it I suppose ? Make sure shaft isn't worn out, good condenser, wire connections and coil. If you have a mag post back which kind. Bosch mags with brushes carbon up bad in humid areas around sprinklers skipping and missing so need to go with a jump spark conversion. Check the valves, some may be about to go out. Ensign carb depending on which one may have another economizer diaphrams need to check too.

It has Electronic Ignition and I was messing around with it today and I put my ear by the distributer and it sounded like the rotor was hitting the cap. So I changed the distributer and the ol girl runs like a top again! I love running these ol Minnies. Thanks guys
