Machining Bendix cv joints

I have some worn Bendix cv joints from the front axle of my Marmon Herrington Ford. Where the balls reside, there are grooves which create play. Anyone know of a machine shop that could weld up channels, cut, then heat treat? Shafts are obsolete, so options are limited.

Is the play so bad that it is causing problems?

As slow as they turn, I think I would grease them up and see what happens.

Is this for a Ford truck or tractor?

It is a 52 F3 Ford with Marmon-Herrington 4wd conversion.

I could run as is, this is a restoration, it’s working days are over. Would like to fix it right, if possible.
