Made the 2N pull a semi out

Invotative ways I make my Ford/Ferguson pull there MAX
Just got the 2N ready just in time to pull a cattle semi tractor/trailer out. J-1 snowplow-Logging tire chains on-loaded tires- draw bar at 24".
9" snow overnite in Hastings MI. Semi loaded with "Charlouise bulls for Texas. Trucker tried wide turn to miss mailbox. Front end slid in ditch. Pulled him backwards on
spitting gravel. Should have pulled him forward but thought I'd dig tar road out.
I once pulled a lime spreader out of mud in 50's. Square 12" X 12" muck chains on 8N low gear front end bobbing.
pulled a wrecker out that winched both back wheels in diich- chains on 53 Chevy 6 didn't have enough power. slid his front end around so one side came out of ditch.
Pulled many big trees out with disc on and hitch chain 8' high in tree with 8N.
Wished they let me pull in competion with the above field condition hitch. but not enough power.

Charles Krammin age 10 on 1937 9N to 8N in 50 and 600 now Age 80 and still pulling strong!!!

You obviously know your tractor and the abilities with the right conditions. I have pulled a self propelled combine out of mud and a 10 yard dump truck (empty) out with my 8N. I also have hooked an older Ford Bronco in mud over the axles. ALL: I'm on solid ground, loaded tires no spinning tires; drivers also drive but do not let wheels spin. The Bronco driver did have to dig down and put some planks behind the tires.

When I was a kid the bus driver got the school bus buried turning around. The only tractor we had at the home place that day was the 8N Ford. By golly, it pulled the bus out. None of us thought twice about sending a 10 year old walking back home to get a tractor to pull out the school bus. It?s just what you did. Now I?m sure there would be some OSHA law about it.

I rode shotgun on a parochial 1951 chevy stubnose reincarnated interurban Transport. Simce I know more about about vehicles, than the driver. 4 brother off to WW II, dad on mail route-mom in cannery factory, I did most of the farming with a 39 Ford Ferguson. Things I did on the bus that OSHA would not allow:
1 Palmed the carbarateur when the fuel pump was failing.
2.Emergency brakeman when brakes went out,
3 Used hydraulic jack to slam rearaxle back away from fender when bolt thru leaf spring broke,
4. Sweep out bus by openning door(as were going down road)to get rid of trash).
5 using the 8N to pull a Inteernational KB-7 bus to start in winter.
5.Pushed bus when stuck in snow.

When we were growing up people stepped in and did what needed to be done. These days the trend is to sit there, moan about being a victim, wait for something to happen then sue the person who helped. Sad times.

Don't forget that somebody has to video it, make uneducated comments about the operators competency, then post the whole thing to Facebook along with his comments and any additional uneducated comments by the
viewers of this video. All that instead of being constructive and helpful.

Couldn't have happened unless you have pictures or video to prove it! Can't see how anything got accomplished before the cell phone.

How do you take pictures with your cell phone when your"re busy working? plus this site makes it very hard to post when the site they use made it impossble to economly
post?

I think you nailed it. I agree. Sad state of affairs.
