Mag - Dist. Swap

I have a 51 WD with a magnito also have a WD45 distributor are there any Performance gains by using distributor? If so what are the swap proceedures?

On a stock type engine if you have a good mag there is really no advantage in swapping to the ditributor from the newer engine. It is a simple bolt on swap however. On hopped up pulling tractors you can find some HP with a properly set up and modified distributor.

The local AGCO dealer here has been an allis man all his life and he told me a mag will out perform a dist. any day. He said they start easier in the cold and if are set correctly they will produce more horsepower. I'm just repeating what I was told.
