Had the magneto off of my L lately, this is a base mount magneto. How do you tighten the nut? No wrench I have is thin enough to get on the nut. I`m not even sure what size the nut is, possibly 1 1/4 inch or a bit larger. Did/does someone make a special wrench for this?

Have a set of thin wrenches that work. Like tappet wrenches for older engines. Have to look at my LA...seems you set mag timing with that nut and shaft. Blew the exhaust flipper off when the nut came loose on mine cause it changed timing. Could measure the nut with a caliper and grind a wrench down to fit.
