Magneto Question

Hey everybody - magneto question...

The engine on my Massey I-162G is the
Continental F162 and it has a Fairbanks-
Morse X4B5A magneto. Currently there is no
kill switch and I would like to install one
of the typical push/pull style mag kill. I
know the theory behind a mag kill is to
ground it out to stop ignition, but I am
not sure where to hook things up. If I am
not mistaken, one leg of the switch goes to
ground, then that is where I get lost. The
mag has two poles in direct opposition of
each other and I am not sure which is used
for kill. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

On the side of the mag should be a small bolt and nut that is insulated by a rubber grommet sort of thing. That is where you would hook the wire going to the switch

Add a few more posts on here, then YT will trust you to post a picture, cause we'd need a picture of that mag.
Something like a horn or door bell button is best, so you don't accidentally leave it grounded out when trying to start again. There's got to be an insulated bare metal - something- on the mag.

Bit??? It could also have a shut off tab held in place but the bolt and nut and if it does the nut will hold the shut off tab. All you will see of a bolt it the threaded part because the head will be inside the mag

Attached is photo one. I will attached one more photo of the otherside.

The information on the tag reads:

So my wife went out with me tonight so I could ponder this mag issue a little more... She says to me in the most serious tone - "It looks like a DeWalt battery; just replace it with that!" I laughed so hard. Gotta give her credit though - she knows what DeWalt is :)

That must be the ground out point. Good. Now you can get her to touch that screw head with a jumper wire from the ground of the battery. See what happens. If that kills the engine, you can tell her she got the job! Pull the distributor block off and take a look to see if there's a tang of some kind up agains that screw from the inside. If so, that's your grounding point.
