Its a lot easier to send it off to have it rebuilt, you can send it to yt or roberts carb repair, Davenport Tractor, many options that way if it needs bushings they can do it and are very good. These guys really know there mags. Just a thaught. You can order the book from here also.
 
If your handy, Not if your wife thinks your handy, you can service them yourself. Points, condenser, gaskets, cap, and rotor. Bushings/bearing if they need it. Disassemble, clean, inspect, and service impulse drive. You will have to find a source for parts. Most the repair shops that do service work on them will sell you parts. Should find some options on the internet. Make note of lag timing reference marks to use to reassemble. If lag timing adjustment is needed you will have to find someone with a bench to check/set it. They are other ways to set/determine impulse timing but, that is another subject. No fun in these projects if you have to hire all the work done! Have fun, DW
