main bearings

I have a 41 B. I just got it running. It runs ok but seems to have a little but of a knock to it. It seems to be coming from both sides of the tractor. It holds pretty good oil pressure. So I do not think it is a rod knocking. Does anyone have any ideas what could be the cause. Also I have changed out the flywheel due to the original being cracked. I did notice that the cracked flywheel was installed out of time. Any info would be appreciated.

Is crankshaft endplay correct?

Is the clutch driving disc TIGHT on the crankshaft splines?

How much end play is the right amount and I will have to check the other. I tried to grab the bottom of the flywheel and try to pick up on it to see if there was any slack in the main bearings. It felt like it moved some. The knocking goes away when engine us under a load.

The correct end play setting is .005 to .010 measured at the inside edge of the fly wheel.

I looked at the tractor again last night. You can actually move the crank up and down by picking up on the flywheel and the belt pulley. It is not in and out play I am feeling it is up and down play. Like alot of slop in the main bearings. Can you adjust them or will I have to replace them?
