making a ztu a wide front

ok realy like to change my ztu to wide front any one know of or know what parts i need to change out this is an early ztu model 1943 if that make any difference will R parts work?? want to ask before i start advertising for stuff needed

Not to discourage you. but this is not that easy. Moline's are not interchangeable like other tractors are. If you want a wide front Moline you will have to find another tractor to swap out parts. I think a RTE might match up or an RTS, or ZTS early ones. but the transmission might have to be drilled to accomodate the steering box. Also changing the style of your tractor from the original serial number will decrease value. I hope this helps Roger

Where are you loacted at? I have a complete wide frontend that I bought thinking it might work on a UBU. I will have to get some of the casting numbers off of it to see if you think it will fit. Shipping might get interesting as it is about six feet wide.

Tried to send you a PM with this info but the PM system is down. I may have bad news. The casting number on the main casting (bolster?) is JT27756, I was thinking it started with ZT. The spindle assys are 10A1388 and a number on the hubs is possibly 33131A. I have several photos if I had your e-mail. I am about 20 miles north of I-20 north of Abilene, Texas on a paved road.
