Manifold gasket

question. I have a power block.in my 52 A. Here is my problem. Bought manifold gasket for a late 52 A. Does not fit. Anyone know what I should do here?

The parts book shows unstyled and 1939 A used different gasket than the later tractors. All the tractors above 488,000 s/n show the same head gasket. I am not familiar if the early A head is ‘flat’ but folks that want more power in a G like the earlier ‘flat’ head to boost compression. Since you have a Power Block maybe the head is from the early A? The head casting number will tell us.

That head is listed in the A parts catalog. It shows manifold gasket A2384R is correct. Perhaps you can check this site’s parts for the correct gasket. I’m guessing what you have is A405R for the early tractors.

If it's a Power Block it will have raised letters on top of the block stating Power Block. They were also yellow when new.

Wouldn`t make any difference what block you have, you need to match the gasket to the particular head you have. This would be done with the part number on the head and a good parts person
