I have a '62 MF35 and would like to replace the manifold. I can see where there could be issues with the bolts being stubborn to remove. The last thing I want is trying to remove a broken bolt or re-threading. Would it be reasonable to assume that if I soked the bolts down real good for a week with penetrating oil they will come out in one piece? I'm hoping someone has been through this and can provide some advice. Thanks.

It is worth a try. Before trying to loosen them, give them a good rap with a punch and hammer. Sometimes that breaks the rust bond. Another thing I always do is try tightening a little, then loosening a little, back and forth. That sometimes helps a rusted bolt or nut release. "Kroil" is the best penetrating oil I have used. I would recommend it if you can find it. Whatever you do, try not to keep turning if it seems like the bolts or studs are twisting. Better to try soaking a little longer. Sometimes heat from a torch is the only way to release the rust bond, but I have removed alot of manifolds without it.
