Just a quick question to my friends on the western side of the Atlantic ocean. The 6020 and in particular the new 6030 range of tractors have a reputation here in the UK for blowing head gaskets , often at less than 1500 hours .
OK it's not a big job , and if done with enough care not as likely to happen again but is this a problem in USA and Canada?
I blame the higher state of tune of the Saran engines compared to 20 years ago and that the factory don't take enough care with liner protrusion . Also the liner/gasket sealing area hasn't increased with the extra heat and pressures .
Your thoughts will be most welcome. Regards .
