First fire was last Saturday, crazy warm for this time of the year. It will possibly going to an all time record ether today or tomorrow 72* I think? This is the latest in the season I have ever start to burn wood. Not complaining mind you, Have a Happy new year as well...........

Is that your first fire of 2015, or of the winter of 2015/2016? I thought you were using your fireplace the first few months of this year, but maybe I'm mistaken.

Hello Stan in Oly, WA,

YES Stan, that is a picture of my first fire of the 2015-2016 season. I used the fireplace up the the month of March this year, for the 2014-2015 season. To-day's temp is 66* and tomorrow's temp is forecasted to hit 74*. All next week's weather above freezing day and nigth!
We wiil pay for this nice weather next month?

Hi Guido;

I don't remember where you live, but those are amazing temperatures for anywhere except the extreme southwest, or Florida, for this time of year. Will you pay for it later? Of course. We eventually pay for everything---one way or another. Temperatures around Puget Sound have been very mild. Not warm like yours, but almost no freezing temperatures yet, day or night. What we've had is enough rain to drive a person to drink---almost a normal year's worth of rain since the beginning of October. Except for the occasional disastrous mudslide, or whole towns being flooded, though, it's not too bad.
