Massey 101/Straight 8

Would a Chrysler straight 8 be impossible or unheard of to fit in a 101? Or maybe a 44-6. Wonder what bell housing would fit.

Man, I dont know. It's really long. I went out to look a straight 8 in a 1950 Buick I have, and it may take some inventive radiator placement. It will sound cool tho - the straight 8's were smooth.

I have thought about doing it for a while also. I don't have a straight 8 handy though. I think they are approx 10 inches longer than the 230s. I was thinking of getting the belly pan machined where the bellhousing bolts on back farther and use a short tank from a junior, stretch the hood, etc. Would probably have to make an adapter plate to get the bellhousing to bolt up, I am all most positive the bells are different. I have settled on a 265 instead I guess.

sure would be a fun project..........
