This is for sale down the road from me (includes 60in brushhog and blade). Its gas has loaded rear tires and seems in decent shape given age. Dont know mich about these tractors. It is a good buy given age? Are parts for these easy to find? Looking to do general property maintnace on 40 acres that our house is currently being built on.

Hello hb.., welcome to YT! Is it a good by, heck no it’s not for a million dollars!!?? Oh but oops you didn’t give a price, I assume you intended to or maybe I should say you need to if you want that “good buy?” answered. Not really being in the know on that brand I would say it should be in the $3-5000 range, we’ll see what others say. Knowing your location also plays into the going price. Rear tires at least the one I can see looks reasonable good, that’s a big $ item on tractors. Parts are relatively easy to get. That’s a solid well proven model.

Pictures of the pedals often tell more than an hour meter. tach cables break, meters get changed, etc. Seldom are pedals replaced.

That would be a reasonable price around here if everything is in good working condition.

Those are very good tractors with good parts availability.

IF it were only a diesel. MF 135's are great little tractors, lots of them in my area. For some strange reason the Continental gas engines are more popular than the 3 cyl Perkins. Would not come close to bringing $6000 in my area. If it were a diesel, it might bring 5000 with the implements. Gas. 4250 tops.

I think those are one of the very best small tractors every made. Lots of them, so parts should not be an issue. But I think 6 K is way high, at least for around upstate NY. Used brush hogs are a dime a dozen. Tires look good - I would say 3-4K tops.

Good question. I'm not in the market, but there are lots of them listed on CL and FB. But I honesty don't pay any attention to the condition or the prices. And its only of value to the OP if he needs one. Tractors like that have a tough time bringing 3K at auction around here.

I have three 135s, two diesel and a late Perkins gas with 2000 actual hours on it. If you ever used a diesel you would throw rocks at the gas Perkins.

I have a 135 that my dad bought new with the continental. About a year later a neighbor bought one with a Perkins gas. We were together plowing for a neighbor. The continental engine had a lot more torque than the 3 cyl perkins. A good gas 135 will sell for about $4000 in this area, northern ky. It doesn't seem to matter which engine it has. Mine has about 2700 hrs I think All still original never been painted or overhauled

I find that hard to believe, had to be something wrong with the Perkins gas then as it's got a five inch stroke and more cubes than the Continental Z134.

As an OLD MF mechanic, I'd take the diesel hands down over either gas engine.

I bought 3- 5 footers a while back . A Ford and 2 King cutters for 25 bucks each. One had a good deck. and new rear wheel. one had a good gearbox, blades and stump jumper and one had a good rear wheel and perfect hitch. Sold the gearbox and stump jumper for 100 bucks. Sold one of the rear wheels for 25. Scrapped 2 decks and still have some parts left. Think I did OK.

Neighbor I worked for as a kid had a MF 135 gas, with 3 speed hi-lo range transmission. Tractor had an Allied front end loader , no power steering and an under slung exhaust. Lots of dairy farms in the 60’s and early 70’s had a tractor like I described. We worked the heck out of that little tractor doing things a large 4wd tractor that most farms have now could do with ease.
