Seemed to be a lot of play in my 165?s pto handle when engaging and gravity is pulling it out of gear...
Can feel a detent she. I engage it but it doesn?t seem to hold firmly in place. PTO clutches/etc have no trouble staying engaged...gravity is doing it in and the detent doesn?t seem to be firm enough to fight gravity.
So, like I said, seemed to be a lot of play. Removed the cotter pin, neither hole is worn but the shaft sticking out of the tractor does not stick out far enough to properly line up with handle hole. It is spring loaded and I can pry it out a little with a nail but the spring pulls it back inward.
I am thinking to get the detent and handle to work properly, there must be some way to hold it out properly to get the holes lined up for a cotter pin. Right now a crooked nail is making it work. But it isn?t right. Hopefully this all kind of makes sense?
