Massey 175 Tachometer

I am looking for a replacement tachometer for a 175 and coming up short. The old school parts book number is 528400M91 and I can't seem to find any parts that exactly reference this part number. There are a number of other Tachometers on various sites that claim that they are compatible with a MF 175.

Has anyone had any luck trying one of the aftermarket Tachometers? I am trying to avoid the "buying and trying" phase and also avoid paying return/restocking fees.

For reference I attached an image of my stock Tach. I could of course et it rebuilt. I am not sure how costly that could get but it may be a down the road thing. Either way I need a temporary solution in the meantime.

Your part number subs up to part number 3609808M91. New part number available from Massey. Nearly the same look as your photo.

Thank you sir, that sure does look very similar. I am going to miss the 540 PTO line. How do you find part subs?

I just do some searching. Sometimes I get lucky. It sure helps when you listed the part number for me as a start.

It will come with pto arrow sticker you can stick on. My 175 has one of those tachs, works great. You see them on a lot of old Masseys for sale and in auctions around here.

I suspect the tacs all read the correct engine RPM the difference being the speed shown in each respective gear.
