Massey 66 conversion

I just bought a really nice Massey 66 plow 3-16. I am pretty sure my ford 801 will not pull that in my soil. Aside from the tail wheel what has to be done after I take one bottom off? Do you have to adjust the three point mount?

Are shares and shins still available for this plow?
Thanks.

Hi Jason, I'm not a mechanic but I have a parts
book and owners manual that shows this. Both light use, but good shape. $12 for both incl.
postage. Chuck

I believe you should take off the center plow and that way you can keep the trail wheel.

My friend bought a Ford 3x14" late model trip plow. He just took the torch an cut the back plow off. I have used it a time or two and I think it needs the trail wheel or furrow slide.

I have been looking for 2x16" plows, not too many of them must have been made.

I have 3x12" plows mf, they do nice work on clean ground but if there is a lot of debris like corn stalks all they want to do is choke up. The 16" plows would have more throat area for the debris to flow.
