Massey Continental Head

I am looking for a head to put on my 30 with a 162 Continental to give it a little more power. I am wanting to be somewhere around 8.5:1 Compression when I am done and I found a head on Ebay which is a F400A345, does anybody know what this fits so maybe I can get some specs on it. Basically I want to get the highest compression I can without having to run a racing fuel.

I am no expert on this, but I don't think you are going to find another head to put on to gain that much compression. There are alot of websites out there for these F162 you may want to dig in and research. First check out the F164. i believe they are almost the same as the 162. The head may be different. Only other thing I would know to do is shave the head as much as you can. I have a Silver King tractor I restored and it uses this same engine. I had to have it bored out .60 over and had the head shaved and block decked.. I can tell just by starting it it has alot more compression and power then before. The motor has a ton of lugging power.

Well I have found a couple heads to raise the compression and some I have found would raise it to 7.5:1 and some go up to like 9.5:1. I am just having a hard to time figuring out which one will get me around the 8:5:1 ratio which is where I think I want to be. I wish I could find a website where the data is for all of these heads and their cumbustion chamber CCs.
