Anyone know of some place to get any parts for a double action control valve. Is also a Davis loader. Would consider a used valve.

Thanks for any ideas,

Ted

What brand valve? Single or double spool? Float or no float? What parts are needed?

Bottom line is with most valves( older ones especially) few parts are replaceable. Spool and body bores are metal to metal fits, for sealing internally, so spools or bodies are not interchangeable with any assumption the sealing will improve. You might find a few external seals/O-rings. A new valve is about the only real fix, and may take some plumbing and mount modifications. My thoughts, YMMV.

Double spool, double action. Need spool seals and centering springs. Is a Massey 101 loader made by Davis. Valve is the one that
came on it.

The n tractor club has a parts book in their library. You could find the part numbers you need and search for those numbers. I can't find a 101 parts book on AGCO's site, just the 100 and 200 loaders.

I'm in the same boat witha 102 loader. If you dig around on Google there are some threads about it. It's likely a better idea to replace the valve. Probably what I'll end up doing. In the meantime I need a lift cylinder rebuilt.

I believe Massey bought out Davis. I do not know what year.

I have 102 on my 65. It was my grandfathers and I am working to restore it. There is a lot of slop in the valves so I bet they leak. Right now I need to replace hoses on the loader and get the tractor running again so working on the valves is down the road a bit.

Before you change the hoses going to the valve, you may want to plan on replacing the valve. It will save you for changing the hoses twice. I'm in the same boat. Prince has a valve that looks like it will be a good fit. $250 or so from Northern. If interested, I'll dig up the P/N.

My hoses are totally shot. Some are in 2 pieces so I am planning to replace them all.

If you have the P/N for the valve you used that would be great. Then I can swap all the parts at the same time.

Thanks

Stan was saying not to buy the hoses until you sort out the valve in case the thread pitch or size is different.

Sorry for the late response. Here's what I came up with,
