Does anyone have the specs for a 3pt massy backhoe attachment? I'm looking for the weight and oil supply requirement. I can't tell if it was originally a category 3 converted to a cat.2

I don't think it was ever for 3-point use, either cat. 2 or 3. It was a mounted hoe used on 302 and 304 industrial tractors, with 24 gpm pumps. More backhoe than I would want to see on a 3-point hitch.

A fixed pin near the bottom both sides dropped into carrier ears, then there were top links that captured the top pins. The top links were tightened down by nuts on rods anchored at the lower pins, I believe.

Thanks Jim.ME I was wandering if that was the case. The pictures I seen make it look pretty heavy duty. Probably to much for a 70 horse tractor.

Not because of HP, but it is a mounted hoe for an industrial tractor using heavy framework to carry it and a loader, not just hung off a 3 point.
