Massey ferguson 35 problem

Hi, I was driving my MF35 dual clutch today when all of a sudden it just slowed down and wouldn't drive. Could put it in any gear high and low let out the clutch but nothing would happened. Had to tow it hope.

PTO is engaging OK and so is the lift.

What problems am I looking at or Where's best to start? Thanks.

There's a shear coupler in the transmission that may have broken.

Thanks. Suppose easiest start is to drain
the oil and see if I can see that cotter
pin sheared and the coupler moved out of
place maybe.

My 1963 MF 35....6 Speed ...NO Multipower...NO Independent PTO.
Tiller bar on lifting JIG as I work alone..
When my 35 stopped moving the CLUTCH / Friction had failed......

Thanks Bob great explanations on the pics I appreciate that.
So I've one of 2 problems it seems.
I'm thinking then if I'm to engage it into gear while the engine is shut off and jack up the rear the wheels should lock if the shaft coupling is OK and in place perhaps?

I put a new clutch in this tractor a couple of years ago and it hasn't done much work really so if its a clutch problem it'll be very interesting to see.

YES....
DRAIN OIL below bottom cap screw on inspection door.......remove inspection door
Jack one wheel up off the ground...Try to rotate wheel.

Found my problem. Cotter pin has fallen out and drive coupler has riggled back up the shaft. No damage just need to replace pin. Don't know why it's came undone or sheared though?

The cotter pin head was rubbing against the quadrant housing over a period and eventually sheared and the pin dropped out. New one fitted and much tighter then before. Tested and clears everything.

Thanks for all help
