Massey Ferguson 4253 again

I have a Massey Ferguson 4253 with cab. I didn’t buy it new, when I bought it the AC worked medium speed only, no low or high at all. Medium speed has quit now. I can get the panel loose, but the radio won’t let come down so I can replace the switch, do I just try to pry it over the radio? Which I think the switch is problem.

Anyone have any ideal how to get the radio out? Or something else to look for. Very good tractor other than that. Sure gets hot in TX in the summer time. Not only that, the cab keeps the fire ants from covering me up. I downloaded a manual, then someone stole the computer, that wasn’t the only thing, also got my night hunting hog gun with a thermal scope. That’s worst than trying to bale without AC.

Not sure how old that tractor is, but recently I had to remove and remount a radio in a 2005 Peterbuilt. The faceplate had to be popped off by prying away from the housing and then there was some kind of release tab at the both sides between the radio and the housing which allowed the radio to slide out pulling the harness connector out to make it accessible. All the older ones I ever did, they were held in place by nuts around the volume and tuning knobs, which bolted the unit to the housing. Hopefully this will help.

I have a 4243 with what I think is the factory radio. It has the 4 holes in the front of it to use the older Ford radio removal tools, just 2 u shaped pieces. Try to post a link.
