Massey Harris 44 throttle cable

I have an 1947 Massey Harris 44 that has the cable for the throttle that broke would anyone have one or know how I could repair mine I was thinking of using a piece of coated cable but not sure if that will be stiff enough

That might work but it does need to flex some.

I used a choke cable to repair one. I put it through the tubing and modified the ends to make the connections.

I did that right now and it doesnt idle down all the way
