Massey Harris 44

I put in a new rear oil seal in my Massey Harris 44 and it still leaks. Any ideas what the problem could be. Thanks

What shape were the side seals in?

What did the shaft surface look like? If a groove was worn on the shaft, you can offset the sealing location on the shaft by making a shim plate to move the end cap out further. A 0.060? shim is usually enough.
