I’m having a problem with the hydraulics on my 44 Massey it lifts just fine but will not hold anything up it still has the cylinder under the seat could it have something to do with the spool valve or something internal in the valve thanks Luke

Most likely the spool valve. However it can be the cylinder has developed a scratch in the wall which is allowing fluid by the o ring. The spool valve cannot be renewed, if you find a replacement get the spool and the spool body. These were hand fit from the factory. The cylinder has a snap ring, so the ram can be removed to inspect the wall for scratches. New o rings could help if the cylinder looks good. A hydraulic shop should be able to match them up.
